Prashanth Hospitals in New Delhi has launched its fourth generation Robot for Joint Reconstruction. This precision-based technology system includes 3D visualization and intuitive control systems for performing joint reconstruction procedures on patients with end-stage arthritis and other knee joint-related issues.

The 4th Generation Robot will employ infrared cameras and optical trackers to 3D map the joint and collect exact data on a patients anatomy, resulting in a favorable implant for each and every treatment. The customized method will allow surgeons to make rapid judgments and remove problematic bone sections with a 30% boost in efficiency and accuracy.

In order to further expand its Orthopaedic services, the hospital recently opened its Centre of Excellence for Robotic Joint Reconstruction. Dr. Arumugam, Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, and Clinical Head, will lead the center with a team of over 20 specialist Orthopaedic experts, Senior Consultants, Nurses, and Physiotherapists.
